Subway Canada has announced it will offer freshly sliced deli meats in selected hand-crafted sandwiches, such as the six-inch Black Forest Ham sub.
This introduction has been part of Subway’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the guest experience and prioritising quality without compromising value. Canadian customers can now enjoy freshly sliced ham, turkey, pepperoni, and salami, alongside other deli favourites like yellow mustard, at participating restaurants across the country.
Alongside favourite build-your-own sandwiches, freshly sliced deli meats will be available in select Subway Series sandwiches.
“We’re always looking for innovative, better ways to excite and entice our guests,” stated Courtney Hindorff, Managing Director, Canada.
“We’re thrilled to be the first major QSR in Canada to offer freshly sliced meat to our guests, making each trip to Subway an even fresher, more valuable and delicious experience.”
The addition of deli slicers in restaurants across the country has represented a significant investment in the Subway network at no cost to franchisees. After the successful rollout of freshly sliced proteins in the United States, Canada was the brand’s next priority market to provide even higher-quality, better-tasting sandwiches.
Part of the range includes the new Black Forest Ham sub, which is made with Canadian pork. Other menu items include the Turkey sub and the Italian B.M.T.
As one of the world’s largest quick-service restaurant brands, Subway serves freshly made-to-order sandwiches, wraps, salads and bowls to millions of guests across more than 100 countries in nearly 37,000 restaurants daily. Subway restaurants are owned and operated by Subway franchisees – a network that includes thousands of dedicated entrepreneurs and small business owners – who are committed to delivering the best guest experience possible in their local communities.
The new deli-meat slicers are expected to attract new customers to the restaurant chain.
