Celebrity chef Sean Connolly has invited South African born chef, Duncan Welgemoed over for a night in the kitchen at The Grill. Welgemoed, co-owner of Africola, is one of Australia’s most-watched and sought-after culinary talents and will be joined by winemaker Taras Ochota, co-owner of Ochota Barrels Vineyard to assist in an all-star culinary affair.
The talented kitchen collaboration will prepare a delicious four-course menu that will be matched with wines from Ochota Barrels.
“Africola reminds me of The Grill,” said Connolly, “Great, simple product that’s executed well. It’s funky and innovative; I can’t wait to get in the kitchen with Duncan; it’ll be magic.”
“We’re also bringing over my mate Taras and his Ochota Barrels wine. Their dynamic and natural wine is leading the wine scene in South Australia and will be the perfect match to our one-of-a-kind menu.”
This event is taking place on Saturday the 25th of May at 6:30 pm. It is being held at The Grill, SKYCITY, Auckland. Tickets cost $180 per person.
