Salsa Brava

Empower the taste of your meals with Salsa Brava’s handmade raw sauces full of healthy and natural ingredients made in Raglan, New Zealand. With all-natural ingredients, these sauces are vegan, raw, gluten-free, and delicious.

What is your company background, how did you start the business?

We started Salsa Brava in 2017 with the mission to create South American products in New Zealand with natural and local (where possible) ingredients.

We live in Raglan and hire a commercial kitchen in town to produce our two sauces. We started to sell them in the local shops and to reach more people we decide to set up a van and travel the country to get our products all over the place. In 2018 we started travelling with 4000 jars and managed to put our sauces in 150 shops from Kerikeri to Invercargill.

What is the current product range and variants and how do these products stand out in the market?

At the moment we have two Chimichurri sauces:

  • Mild
  • Medium Spicy

These sauces add a totally new flavour to the market, an exotic South American mix of herb and spices. Our sauces are versatile. gluten-free, sugar-free and will enhance the taste of your meals.

What are the plans for the business moving forward, is there any expansion on the horizon?

From the end of September we will be launching into all supermarket chains and by the end of the year, a new product will be on the shelves.

Where are your products currently available to buy, and are you looking at or wanting to expand your availability?

You can find us in boutique retail shops, online, and from September in the supermarket chains.
