Domino’s has added a plant-based meat to its menu to diversify its free-from offerings. The ‘meat’ is explicitly made for Domino’s, from a recipe that is being kept under wraps. The new addition is said to be primarily composed of soy protein and will feature across several of Domino’s plant-based pizzas. The product is, however, free from artificial preservatives, flavours and colours, according to the Domino’s Facebook page. It is also lower in saturated fat and higher in protein than its meat counterpart.
Domino’s becomes the first pizza chain to add a meat-alternative to their menu since the sneaky hoodwink Hell Pizza played with their Beyond Meat pizza.
