Happy Hour | Sea Breeze

Containing vodka, cranberry juice, and grapefruit juice, a Sea Breeze is a perfect and refreshing cocktail, reminiscent of the elusive tropical weather we long for.

First crafted in the 1920s, a Sea Breeze cocktail originally included gin and grenadine, and during the 1930s, it included apricot brandy and lemon juice. For a while, it was known as ‘Ocean Spray’, which assisted with marketing the well-known brand of cranberry juice.

A Sea Breeze can come in several variations, such as a Hawaiian Sea Breeze, which includes pineapple juice instead of grapefruit juice, and is closely connected with the fellow cocktail, Cape Codder, which lacks the grapefruit juice.

Served in a highball glass, a Sea Breeze cocktail has the potential to be an effective and favoured cocktail. Garnishing the drink with a slice of lime is traditional, but when thinking outside of the square, there are countless ways to make an eye-catching Sea Breeze.

Various fresh herbs and citrus fruits add to the tropical charm of the Sea Breeze, and when served with ice, it becomes exactly what is needed during the warmer months.
