Everybody Eats has invited the community to come together for a special gathering in Downtown Auckland.
A free, open-air, climate-friendly community meal is coming to the heart of Tāmaki Makaurau, and everybody is invited.
On Saturday, 22nd March, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, Everybody Eats is hosting a special gathering at Te Komititanga in Downtown Auckland, where people from all walks of life can come together, share kai, and connect over a meal designed with sustainability at its heart.
This one-off dining experience is completely free, with guests given the option to pay it forward—helping to provide a restaurant-quality meal and dining experience for someone that is doing it tough right now.
Thanks to a partnership with KiwiHarvest, elements of the meal will be crafted from perfectly good, rescued food, highlighting the importance of reducing waste while serving up something delicious and nourishing.
Everybody eats also recently celebrated International Women’s Day by highlighting the important work across its staff.
Recruiting, retaining and developing diverse talent has been an important company moral for Everybody Eats, including leading teams of volunteers, creating innovative menus and transforming rescued food into restaurant-quality meals.
“By providing a platform for women to take charge in the kitchen, we’re challenging old norms and redefining what leadership in hospitality looks like.”
Everybody Eats has believed that cooking is an art form and its chefs are true artists.
“This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the women in our kitchens who do so much more than prepare meals. They create opportunities, strengthen communities, and accelerate change for a more inclusive world.”
With rescued ingredients as their palette, Everybody Eats has created dishes that not only nourish but tell stories of culture, community, and care. From reinventing classics to crafting entirely new flavors, Everybody eats has proven that food is a powerful expression of identity and connection.
