CHINA | The Mandarin Oriental Qianmen’s bar, Tiao, has joined the list of Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026 and has become a key venue in Beijing’s cocktail circuit.
To mark the milestone, Tiao has invited guests to immerse themselves in a curated celebration on the 29th of August. For one night, the bar will host an exclusive cocktail guest shift party.
Five of Asia’s top bartenders will take over the bar to craft unique cocktails for guests to enjoy. The event will offer an exclusive menu of tipples.
Within two years of opening, Tiao has firmly established Beijing on the global stage of distinguished cocktail destinations, showcasing contemporary mixology and innovation while also celebrating the city’s ancient roots, traditions and stories.
Serving as a definitive benchmark for regional hospitality, creativity and skill, Asia’s 50 Best Bars list spotlights venues that reshape the contemporary drinking experience.
Tiao’s philosophy was anchored in a deep sense of place and traditional residential life, blended with modern artisanship.
Under the guidance of Bar and Beverage Manager Miranda Xu and Head Bartender Matt Guo, the team has focused on local authenticity.
Refined cocktails on the menu have combined delicate tea-infused spirits and subtle cultural flavours, and are complemented by Beijing-inspired bar food, alongside creative drinks that invite guests to explore the city's life, both past and present.
Mandarin Oriental Qianmen, Beijing Area General Manager, Richard Langonné, was privileged to share the soul of Beijing's luxury hospitality with the wider world.
“This recognition belongs entirely to our dedicated bar team, whose craft and passion breathe life into Tiao every evening, and to our local community and loyal guests who have shared this journey with us.”
Tiao has been envisaged as a cultural bridge and a sophisticated space.
Langonné added that the accolade gently reinforced Tiao’s commitment to honouring its roots while continuing to craft enduring experiences for our guests.
