Yo-Chi Set to Open in The UK

Frozen Yoghurt

Australia | Australian frozen yoghurt brand Yo-Chi has entered the European market with a store in the United Kingdom.

The viral self-serve frozen yoghurt brand has chosen a massive 2,000-square-foot site spread across two floors in Notting Hill, London, allowing capacity for 120 customers, a DJ booth, and Yo-Chi’s signature strawberry disco ball.

Customers will be able to choose from nine flavours and 30 toppings, including fresh fruit, sauces, cereals, and biscuits. They will be able to make their own selections before paying by weight. The store will also offer fat-free, dairy-free, nut-free, vegan, and gluten-free options.

The Australian self-serve frozen yoghurt franchise opened its first store in 2012 in Melbourne. The franchise was sold to the sons of Boost Juice Founder Janine Allis, Oliver and Riley Allis, in 2020, and since then, it has experienced rapid expansion. It went from just four stores in 2020 to about 70 now. Yo-Chi’s international expansion began in 2025 when it opened a store in Singapore.

The Notting Hill store, like other Yo-Chi stores, will serve frozen yoghurt made from fresh milk, not powder, and will aim to bring vibrant Australian hospitality to the UK.

The brand has gained popularity among younger audiences on social media, with about 177,000 followers on Instagram. It aims to create free-flowing hang-out spaces while providing customers the autonomy to make their own versions of frozen yoghurt.
