SUGAR CLUB CHALLENGING PERCEPTIONS

Auckland’s The Sugar Club will be recognizing World Vegan Day by offering an entirely plant-based menu for the day in a bid to prove that vegan cuisine does not need to compromise on quality or flavour. Customers dining at The Sugar Club on November 1 will enjoy an exclusively plant-based tasting menu for lunch and dinner with an optional vegan beverage pairing.

“Offering an entirely plant-based menu for the day, including beverages, is an extension of our history as a restaurant that has pushed the boundaries in the hospitality industry,” said founder Peter Gordon. “This is a wonderful opportunity for the talented kitchen team, led by executive chef Josh Barlow, to challenge perceptions around vegan cuisine.”

The Sugar Club kitchen is tasked with delivering a menu that is memorable for all guests, and they hope even non-vegan diners will enjoy the evening with them as another expression of the diverse dining scene in Auckland.

Josh Barlow joined The Sugar Club in May this year and is excited by the challenge of creating vegan cuisine that will be uncompromising in flavour and give diners an exciting opportunity to broaden their knowledge of vegan dining.

“Marking World Vegan Day is an opportunity for us to showcase to our guests just how delicious plant-based cuisine can be. We are committed to delivering exceptional food and believe our menu will be as enjoyable as any other occasion at The Sugar Club.”
