Onslow Launch New Lunch Menu

Located in downtown Auckland is Onslow, a modern and polished restaurant run by world-renowned New Zealand chef, Josh Emett.

Emett, an acclaimed Michelin star chef and former Masterchef New Zealand judge, is co-owner of Onslow with wife, Helen, and has based the restaurant on his culinary journey that has seen him work in London, New York, Los Angeles, and Melbourne throughout his illustrious career spanning more than 30 years. The latest project for Emett has been to launch a new Lunch menu available at Onslow.

The new menu rolled out by Onslow has introduced dishes on the menu that are exclusive to lunch, and guests will not see on the dinner menu. Some of these include Twice Baked Soufflé, Gruyère, Parmesan & Pecorino or Beef Eye Fillet White Balsamic Mushrooms, Buttermilk Fried Onions, and Café de Paris Butter.

There is also a new pasta special that changes weekly, like the Roasted Bone Marrow, Kale Tagliatelle, Chilli, Garlic, Chervil, Chives or our North Island Scampi Tagliatelle, Heirloom Tomato, Bisque Butter Sauce, and Basil.

This differs from the previous lunch menu, which was the same as the dinner menu and focussed on the dishes Onslow is known for. Onslow has chosen to make lunch a way to explore exclusive dishes that diners wouldn’t see on the dinner menu.

Guests can expect to see a heavy focus on seasonal ingredients, and there is something for everyone on the new menu. As the menu changes seasonally, the Onslow chefs are always looking for something different to do next.
