Meet The Barista | Reannon Lauren Bastion, Ten O’ clock Cookie

Reannon Lauren Bastion moved to New Zealand almost four years ago to pursue a diploma in hospitality to boost her career as a food and beverage attendant at the Hilton Hotel in Christchurch. 

Now, as the Events Manager and Head Barista at Ten O'clock Cookie Bakery Cafe in the beautiful Wairarapa, Bastion finds it rewarding to serve great coffee and delicious food that brightens up people's days.

 "As my grandmother always told me ", a smile goes a long way", and that's the motto I try to live by," said Bastion. 

Ten O'clock Cookie Bakery Cafe has a variety of hot and cold drinks, such as the Turmeric Latte, a rich Belgian Hot Chocolate and Bastion's all-time favourite, the Pink Velvet Latte. The cafe also has exciting new seasonal beverages, with spring just around the corner. 

"We at Ten O'clock Cookie Bakery Cafe strive to give our customers an unforgettable experience rather than just being another mundane stop on their daily commute." 

According to Bastion, great coffee is a consistently well-brewed grind with the perfect milk temperature, her go-to being a caramel latte.

When she is not at work, Bastion generally finds herself either experimenting in the kitchen, catching up with friends or with her nose stuck in a good book.
