Cibaria Manly Offers Italian Flair

Cibaria

AUSTRALIA | Cibaria Manly is set to change the Manly hospitality scene.

Renowned Chef Alessandro Pavoni and the Ormeggio Team have introduced Cibaria Manly, a beachside celebration of all good things Italian: food, wine, hospitality, and gelato.

“This will be a space that embraces the European way of socialising, all day, every day," said Pavoni.

"Where a caffé turns into aperitivo, turns into a meal with friends with incredible wines. It is a meeting place for friends, for families, or a late-night cocktail and gelato after your passaggiata along the beachfront."

Cibaria Manly will represent a distinctive and authentic Italianness, with a friendly yet chic menu broken into the various ‘—ria’s. The main vision for the restaurant was to imagine customers walking into a venue and choosing from the ’braceria’, ‘forneria’, ‘spaghetteria’, and ‘pasticceria’ counters, delivering exceptional bespoke experiences.

On offer will be some of the world-class gelato artigianale that Pavoni and Victor Moya and their award-winning restaurant Ormeggio at The Spit are known for. The gelato will be available for takeaway on the beachfront from the corner  ‘gelateria’ counter, or even better paired with a glass of vino and that iconic Manly view. Customers can also expect some frozen cocktails as well.

Cibaria Manly will deliver something new, designed with the Italian piazza in mind. Pavoni said the venue will be one-of-a-kind.

“Picture yourself there, socialising with friends and family, next to romantic couples and groups of friends. We’re excited about the counter dining and lounges amongst the classic dining tables. The jewel is the private dining room and rooftop terrace for events and functions."

As usual, Pavoni’s newest Sydney venue will continue to offer his hallmark dishes: Italian cuisine with its roots in tradition, yet a strong sense of local place, consistent quality, and a welcoming, professional, and passionate team. Ormeggio’s Head Chef, Gianmarco Pardini, will step into this venture and lead the Cibaria Manly kitchen team.

Nestled in the southeast beachfront corner of the recently relaunched Manly Pacific Hotel and set to open at the beginning of summer 2024, Pavoni said it was what the area was missing.

“As a Northern Beaches local, I know what opportunity there is in the area. I can’t wait to add to the Manly dining scene, this is a restaurant that I am looking forward to visiting myself, with friends and family.”
