New Zealand vegan fast food chain, Lord of the Fries, is up for sale, as confirmed by co-founder Mark Koronczyk. The franchise business is on the market for NZ$1.2 million.
It has been widely speculated that franchise owner, Bruce Craig (who bought the New Zealand franchise in 2016,) has decided to sell the business in order to move overseas with his partner to be closer to his children and grandchildren.
Craig's strategy for the transition period is to work with the new Master Franchisor to expand Lord of the Fries outlets around New Zealand, and to enter the retail market as it has in Australia through major supermarket chains. Koronczyk said that this is a very exciting time for the brand.
Koronczyk also acknowledged Craig's dedication to the company, and referenced his work to grow the brand over a short period of time.
Lord of the Fries currently has six restaurant outlets in New Zealand, and a further 19 in Australia.
