FIVE ALCOHOLIC DRINKS YOU CAN MAKE WITH COFFEE

Coffee is a mainstay of every café and workplace. However, coffee isn’t just a standalone drink, it can also be used as a flavoursome kick alongside a variety of other ingredients. Here are five of our favourite alcoholic drinks using coffee that anybody can make.

ESPRESSO MARTINI

It may not be a true martini, but an Espresso Martini is still the essential alcoholic coffee drink. Mixing cold coffee with vodka, coffee liqueur and sugar syrup gets you the simple cocktail that can be quickly whipped up in a minute’s notice.

FLAT WHITE RUSSIAN

The origin of flat whites is a contentious subject between New Zealanders and Australians. Nonetheless, flat whites are very popular here. Merge a milky hot flat white with the White Russian – vodka, coffee liqueur and cream – and you have an intercontinental classic, the Flat White Russian.

COLORADO BULLDOG

Smash together coffee liqueur, vodka, cream and cola to make a sweet refreshing drink. A bubbly twist on the White Russian, just mix the vodka with the liqueur, cream and ice and then gently pour the cola over the top. Be extra careful to make sure it doesn’t fizz over the top!

SICILIANO COCKTAIL

Can’t decide whether you want to finish a meal with a coffee or cocktail? Try a Siciliano Cocktail, a sophisticated mix of the two. Traditionally made from a blend of the citrus fruits that Sicily is famous for, the cocktail mix contains vermouth, Amaro, coffee, orange juice, orange liqueur and any citrus fruit you can get your hands on.

WHISKOFFEE

WHISKOFEE is something a little bit fancy but also strong enough to knock your boots off. Packing a shot of Scotch Whiskey, another shot of White Whiskey, a dash of Dark Cacao Liqueur, cinnamon syrup and an espresso shot. This unique drink is best served to impress.
