A café manager from Alexandra has been convicted for the theft of over $24,000 from his employer. Marley Dale Ferguson had been a manager at Café Rossi in Alexandra when in August of last year, the till began to become unbalanced on his shifts. An unusually large number of credits would appear, ranging from $20 to $358. Upon browsing the surveillance footage, it was found that Ferguson was taking money from the till and slipping it into his pockets.
Reparation of almost $25,000 has been sought, and Ferguson has been remanded until December 11th.
