TRB Hutong in Beijing has been voted the world’s best fine dining establishment according to the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards.
Located in a historic building, featuring a 950-strong wine list, the establishment offers a five-course meal for around NZ$150.
Second place went to Restaurant Epicure, in Paris, and Ristorante Villa Crespi in Italy took third place.
“The Travellers’ Choice Awards for Restaurants honour travellers’ favourite dining establishments worldwide,” said TripAdvisor. “Based on a full year of TripAdvisor reviews, these restaurants were consistently given high ratings and praise by diners across the globe. Award winners were determined by factoring in the quantity and quality of reviews, gathered over a 12-month period.”
