Following last year’s successful debut, Rutherglen in the City will return to Melbourne on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September this year. Converging at The Atrium in Federation Square, the collective of wineries from Rutherglen in North East Victoria will come together for the two-day wine event.
Rutherglen in the City will feature a pop-up wine and cocktail bar alongside 17 winery cellar doors; bringing the essence of Rutherglen into the heart of Melbourne.
Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase wine to take home, try Rutherglen Muscat cocktails (Muscat Nouveau Spritz and Hip Sip Muscat Fruit Cup), and enjoy a bite to eat from two of Melbourne’s favourite food trucks; Happy Camper Pizza and Beatbox Kitchen.
Rutherglen in the City will provide Melburnians the chance to discover multiple distinct wine varietals that flourish in the region, such as; the world-famous Rutherglen Muscat, bold Durifs, playful sparkling reds or alternative aromatic whites such as Marsanne, Viognier, Roussanne and Ugni Blanc.
