OPENING OF AN ERA

Westfield Newmarket has officially opened its doors to the public after 18 months of construction. The new mall will redefine the surrounding area, with this instalment of openings adding 40 retailers to Newmarket’s shopping zone. However, this is only the first stage of the opening, with the rest of the planned 230 shops hoping to be open by Christmas.

Shops opening today include a range of retailers, from Under Armour to Spark, with food operators including Amore Gelato, L’Americano Espresso Bar and Ika Bowl.

By Christmas, Westfield Newmarket is set to receive a taste of South America, with Nic Watt and Darren Johnson’s long-awaited Inca. The eatery will represent the latest in two of New Zealand’s most prominent culinary figures’ repertoire. Additionally, Westfield Newmarket is also to receive a taste of the electric, with the opening of Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq arcade-themed bar opening later this year, too.

This iteration of openings comes with an array of events and giveaways, so be sure to head down to Westfield Newmarket to check it out.
