WELCOME BACK, SAME AGAIN?

A Dallas-based Malibu Poke restaurant offers customers the chance to reorder a meal through facial recognition technology. The restaurant offers more than 63,000 combinations when it comes to its poke bowls—something returning customers likely don’t want to traverse. Now, returning consumers can simply glance at the ordering kiosk, and get the same thing they ordered last time. The system is also said to minimise lines and help educate guests on the exotic ingredients that are on offer.

This is a good example of today’s dining trends merging: technology, convenience and personalisation.
