Four Seasons Hotel Baku has welcomed new Executive Chef Nicola Rossi, who has brought 20 years of culinary experience gained from his extensive international career, including nine years at Four Seasons hotels and resorts. Throughout his exciting career journey, Chef Rossi was exposed to a variety of foods and exotic ingredients that would fuel his life-long passion for cooking and help him deliver new meaning through his dishes.
Born and raised in Cremona, Italy, his passion for cooking was ignited in his childhood when he started visiting food markets with the family. Magnified by the flavours of Italian cuisine, Chef Rossi graduated from the Istituto Tecnico Luigi Nervi and started to look for international exposure as he wanted to craft extraordinary experiences for the people all around the world.
“I wanted to learn from the best in the industry,” said Rossi, reminiscing about his genuine passion for joining the Four Seasons brand back in 2015.
“I'm sincerely happy to embark on this new chapter in my culinary career in Azerbaijan. The moment I landed in Baku I started to feel myself at home as the city has a truly unique charm with beautiful sea boulevard in the heart of the city and UNESCO Heritage site adjoining Four Seasons Hotel. My main goal will be to bridge together Italian and Azerbaijani cuisines and add my renowned Mediterranean flair to bring a truly extraordinary experience to our guests.”
Chef Nicola Rossi will be working hand on hand with Executive Sous Chef Suraj Karmakar and rest of the culinary team to continue welcoming Hotel guests and Bakuvians and deliver the sense of Italy in the Land of Fire, Baku, Azerbaijan.
