Over the next ten years, Taco Bell plans to open 600 restaurants in India; currently, there are 35. With Taco Bell’s decision to cash in on the country’s massive market and rapidly growing middle-class, over 20,000 new jobs will be created.
Ankush Tuli, Taco Bell’s restaurant chain managing director in Asia, said, “We see so much opportunity in India, as it is still a largely untapped market for Taco Bell and offers huge potential for the brand.”
In the United States, Taco Bell and its franchisees operate over 7000 restaurants in addition to 500 international locations. Taco Bell plans to roll out its first store New Zealand sometime this year.
