Just over a month ago, the fried chicken vendors of New Zealand engaged in a prolonged battle of one-upmanship, with each proclaiming to have launched the spiciest chicken available. Five weeks later, KFC is returned to the fray with the launch of its Nashville Hot Sauce.
“It’s hot on hot!” the Facebook post proclaims. “We've taken Hot & Spicy chicken to the next level, with a drizzling of Nashville Hot Sauce. A blend of spicy cayenne pepper and smoked paprika, our new Nashville Hot Sauce is the perfect combination of spicy, smoky and crispy.”
The addition of Nashville Hot Sauce will be free for customers, and will be available for an “extremely limited time.”
