Princess Anne Tours Havana Roastery to Fundraise for Cyclone Gabrielle Recovery

Her Royal Highness, Princess Anne, visited Wellington's Havana Coffee Works roastery to raise funds for Cyclone Gabrielle recovery.

During her visit, Havana Coffee Works' general manager, Stefan Gray, observed that Princess Anne's love and knowledge of coffee was immediately apparent.

"It became obvious she knew how to make an excellent cup of coffee. But more than that, she had an extensive knowledge of coffee," said Grey.

Following a brief demonstration by Havana's master roaster, Joe Stoddart, Princess Anne personally roasted two bags of her own unique blend. She will bring one brand back to England, and the other will be auctioned off to raise funds to support those impacted by Cyclone Gabrielle.

Bold and rich with deep caramel and European chocolate after-tones, Princess Anne's sophisticated blend has also been replicated by the Havana team, and is available for purchase for a limited time at Havana Coffee Works.

All profits will be donated to the Red Cross to support Cyclone victims.

"Princess Anne and Sir Timothy Lawrence were delightful guests. Their kindness is greatly appreciated and we're very fortunate to have this unique opportunity to keep those impacted by Cyclone Gabrielle," concluded Gray.
