Forced to pull milkshakes and bottled drinks from its menu, McDonald’s has become the latest high-profile restaurant chain in the UK to be hit with supply chain issues. This comes after KFC announced it has has to strip its menu back for the same reason.
In a statement, the fast food chain said that bottled drinks and milkshakes would temporarily be unavailable at all of its stores across England, Scotland and Wales.
“Like most retailers, we are currently experiencing some supply chain issues, impacting the availability of a small number of products,” the company said.
“We apologise for any inconvenience, and thank our customers for their continued patience.”
Recently, Nando’s was also forced to temporarily either close or reduce the hours at around 50 of its restaurants after deliveries of chicken were affected by a nationwide shortage of lorry drivers.
