Technology company DoorDash, which connects consumers with their favourite local businesses, has announced the appointment of Auckland-based Bradley Thomas as the new General Manager for New Zealand, demonstrating the business’ commitment to investing in the local market.
Since launching in Wellington in July 2022, DoorDash has expanded across New Zealand and is continuing to grow in this exciting and dynamic market. Thomas’s appointment will allow DoorDash to grow its delivery service offering further and continue partnering with local businesses.
Thomas has extensive experience in sales leadership and financial management in the food delivery industry. Most recently, he was the Chief Revenue Officer for dark-kitchen startup and delivery disruptor KBOX Global. He was also previously the Head of Enterprise for Uber Eats ANZ and gained sales experience at Air New Zealand.
“I am thrilled to be joining such a highly motivated team on the ground to grow the business in New Zealand,” Thomas said.
“DoorDash has proven to be a leader in last mile logistics globally and the team has had some incredible success with launches in Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland with some amazing results and growth to date.”
Thomas added that he is particularly excited about the opportunities for DoorDash in 2024 to support the organisation’s partners, unlock flexible earning potential for dashers, and provide consumers with leading selection and choice.
“I’m excited to bring DoorDash to more Kiwis throughout 2024, whether that's through providing a great selection of food or grocery for consumers, unlocking growth tools and opportunities for merchants, or providing flexibility for Dashers.”
