Meet The Meatless Farm Co

Mission-driven, sustainable plant-based company, Meatless Farm has finally arrived in New Zealand, offering kiwis a meat-free alternative product range that’s loaded with taste and good-for-you ingredients.

Founded in 2016 by Morten Toft Bech in the UK, Meatless Farm has been fiercely focused on improving people's health, the environment and animal welfare through its product range. It’s a mission that has driven the brand’s rapid expansion into Europe, US, Canada and throughout Asia Pacific as they strive to encourage all households to swap one meal a week to a plant-based meal by 2021. Meatless Farm is now the UK’s fastest-growing plant-based meat alternative brand.

The high-quality foodservice, QSR and FMCG product range are lovingly made from plants and fresh, natural ingredients that stay succulent when cooked - letting consumers substitute meat without having to compromise on taste.

Meatless Farm chefs have perfected meat-free burger patties, meatless ground mince and sausage products. Almost indistinguishable from meat in terms of taste and texture, products from The Meatless Farm are 100% plant-based and made using the highest quality, non-GMO ingredients available.

To celebrate the launch of The Meatless Farm in New Zealand the brand has collaborated with Auckland’s iconic Orphans Kitchen executive chef Tom Hishon to introduce the range to the hospitality and foodservice industry. The collaboration saw Orphans Kitchen x Meatless Farm at-home meal kits being delivered to top industry names in lieu of a launch event due to COVID restrictions.

Featuring a mouth-watering meatless mushroom macadamia burger, the meal kit showcased the Meatless Farm burger patties and Tom’s signature burger toppings and condiments for the industry to enjoy at home.

Priding themselves on providing world-class meat and seafood from New Zealand and around the world, Fern Ridge’s offering of premium products meant the partnership was ideally aligned.

In an exciting development for the brand, Fern Ridge have secured Hell Pizza as an anchor customer for The Meatless Farm in New Zealand after several months of testing and discussion. With Hell Pizza’s 56 nationwide store footprint, the supply deal is a significant partner for The Meatless Farm as they introduce the range to kiwi consumers.

“After the success of our Burger Pizza we tried many different plant-based proteins, but the protein we tested from Meatless Farm was the perfect addition to our pizza and we are really pleased to be offering this to our vegan, veggie and curious meat-eating customers,” said Callum Davies, Director for Hell Pizza.

“We are very excited to continue our mission here in New Zealand. We look forward to seeing our Kiwi consumers and foodservice customers create delicious, healthy meals with our selection of plant-based options,” commented Rupert Findlay, Managing Director APAC for The Meatless Farm.
