After managing Wellington's Midnight Espresso for six years, Hayden Jefcoate was ready for a much-needed change and found himself back in his birthplace, Nelson, where he now is the head barista and manager of Founders Cafe.
Founders Cafe is a family-orientated cafe that provides a safe place for kids and parents to have a relaxing cup of coffee or a pint of delicious locally brewed beers and wines.
Jefcoate loves the cafe's location, which is quite touristy and provides the ability to host a wide variety of events at Founders Park.
Not only does he love working at the cafe, but his love for the beverage is also seen in his three coffee orders during the day: an iced latte on soy with half a shot of vanilla, a classic long black and a coconut flat white.
Jefcoate brings out his inner theatre kid when he is not working, singing, acting and entertaining people.
The cafe has some exciting things lined up and is a must-visit during the summer.
