AUSTRALIA | Zarraffa's has introduced Honduran Las Flores, its latest and nineteenth single-origin release to be added to the menu.
Zarraffa’s Coffee has unveiled its latest single-origin release, Honduran Las Flores, which embodies the warmth and vibrancy of its homeland, a small valley town cradled by gentle hills and nourished by the flow of a nearby river. This is a coffee shaped by its landscape, its climate, and the dedication of the people who cultivate it.
Grown in the Lempira region of western Honduras, Las Flores is defined by its dry subtropical forests and sun-soaked climatic conditions that, while warm, create the perfect environment for producing coffee of remarkable sweetness and complexity. Grown at elevations between 1,400 and 2,470 metres, the coffee thrives in this unique valley microclimate, where cool evening breezes temper the heat of the day. The result is an elegant, silky coffee that lingers with warmth, depth and sophistication.
Las Flores, meaning “the flowers”, perfectly mirrors the coffee’s aromatic grace. With a cupping score of 82.75, Honduran Las Flores is a beautifully layered and expressive coffee. From the first sip, customers can taste rich blackcurrant, followed by notes of brown sugar and roasted peanuts. The milk chocolate body carries through to a smooth caramel finish, lifted by delicate florals that lend the cup its signature charm. Zarraffa’s coffee said customers can discover the refined artistry of Honduran Las Flores, by asking for their next coffee to be made with its Single Origin bean, or they can take home a bag from their local Zarraffa’s Coffee store.
Single Origin is coffee that is grown within a single known geographic location meaning either a single farm or one country. Influenced by climate, landscape and altitude, each bean delivers a bespoke flavour, creating a distinguished coffee experience all of its own. Each Single Origin is crafted in small, limited batches and are available only while stock lasts.
