The countdown for one of Queensland’s biggest food and hospitality events is on.
Food and Hospitality Queensland is serving up a feast of innovation and inspiration at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on the 15th and 16th of October, 2023.
Brisbane and southeast Queensland have always been known for their vibrant hospitality scene, but 2023 has brought a whole new level of excitement and innovation. With an array of new venues opening their doors, the region is buzzing with fresh flavours, unique dining experiences, and a renewed energy that's impossible to ignore.
The event will have 180 exhibitors and will showcase the latest equipment for the hospitality industry, modern food trends, and what the future has in store.
From chic rooftop bars to cosy cafes and upscale restaurants, venues are thinking outside the box, offering everything from immersive dining experiences to DIY meal kits and gourmet takeaways. This creativity is not only delighting customers but also setting new trends in the hospitality industry.
Special events will also take place at the expo, including Cafe School, the Chef Success Workshop, and a host of free demonstrations.
The Queensland Chef of the Year competition will also take place at the expo, with entries now open. The competition will see the state’s best professional chefs challenge each other and the clock to create two dishes in one hour using a mystery box of ingredients. There’s $4000 cash up for grabs, plus a trip to Sydney to compete in the Australian Chef of the Year and more great prizes from sponsors for the winner and runners-up.
With the current market moving quickly in 2023, Food and Hospitality Queensland prides itself on being a trade-only event, allowing thousands of delegates to get down to business. Entry to the event is free.
