Auckland Food Show

The Auckland Food Show is back for another year, this time offering the chance to experience true culinary magic.

The full lineup of local and international culinary talent has been announced for the annual crowd-puller, which will take place at the Auckland Showgrounds between the 27th and 30th of July.

The inaugural MasterChef Australia winner, Julie Goodwin, will be sharing her family’s favourite (and famous) fish soup. Goodwin won MasterChef in 2009 and has since gone on to write a variety of cookbooks and travelled the world giving classes.
Staying within the MasterChef family, Vaughan Mabee will also be making an appearance. Mabee was a judge on the New Zealand series of the show in 2022 and will be demonstrating how to make steamed monkfish tacos in an Amisfield style. The winner of MasterChef New Zealand 2022, Sam Low, will be joining the expo to share how the show has changed his life and the experiences he has had since being crowned the champion. Low will also showcase some of his signature dishes, including Sichuan-styled poached chicken.

Kiwi cooking royalty, Annabelle White will entertain the masses with her quirky and fabulous flavour combinations that make for a delicious result. White is one of New Zealand’s most prolific chefs and food writers.

Christall Lowe will be sharing recipes from her award-winning book, Kai. Lowe will also demonstrate how to make her famous oven-cooked hangi, and condensed milk dough sticks. Another New Zealand chef, Sid Sahrawat, will bring his rich cooking style to the show on the back of opening his popular SkyCity restaurant, Cassia. He will share how his sauces and other ingredients can make the perfect family menu.

The Tattooed Butcher will teach everything needed to know about basic knife skills, steak preparation, and slicing, and he will even be making his homemade sausages.

TV Chef and star of ‘Eat Well For Less,’ Ganesh Raj, will be serving up favourites from the series, showing how easy it can be to make family meals on a budget.

Author of ‘The Modern Preserver,’ Kylie Newton, will be making her favourite preserves and dishes to showcase them. At the same time, Miss Polly and Daisy Dagg of Instagram will share some incredible recipes from the Barossa Valley.

Live demonstrations from NEFF will be a must-watch experience, and the taste of Marlborough will also bring gorgeous wine to the party.

The Auckland Food Show is a chance to experience the latest trends in the culinary world.
