Fire Crews Battle Blaze at Reefton Pub

About ten fire crews were called into battle a large blaze at an old pub on the West Coast.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman Brent Dunn said they were called to the blaze at the Inangahua Arms Hotel on Buller Rd in Reefton about 5.41am on Thursday.

He said the single-storey hotel was “well ablaze” in fire when crews arrived. There were no reports of injuries. It was too early to determine whether the blaze was suspicious, but an investigator would be at the scene later on Thursday to determine the cause.
