Does your product have what it takes to become the next food, beverage or service market influencer?

PITCHme is an exciting initiative from Review Publishing that opens lines of communication between small, large, and artisanal producers and respective buying groups, is back this year for another round of innovative ideas and products. The COVID-19 pandemic has ignited a surge of innovation as businesses pivot and look for ways to stand out from the crowd. The panel are looking forward to seeing what innovation New Zealand producers have to show them.


TIMELINE

Stage One: Submit a 2 Minute Video

Entries Open: 17 August 2022

Entries Closed: 31 October 2022

Stage Two: Finalists Selected to submit 8 samples of product entered to panel.

Finalists Notified: 7 November 2022.


STAGE ONE

PITCHme is a Dragon’s Den-style opportunity giving suppliers the chance to pitch their brand to a panel of buyers and influencers in a cross-section of industry sectors. Suppliers submit a VIDEO ENTRY(below) for consideration to the panel, 20 selected entries will go on to Stage Two.

STAGE TWO

Stage Two will then have the opportunity to present their product to the panel of industry experts. The panel will judge the products against peers and competitors and provide feedback and advice as to how the product could be better purposed and developed.

The following questions must be answered in your two-minute video.

  1. What is your brand story?
  2. Distribution channel?
  3. How much does your product cost?
  4. Do you have the ability to scale up?
  5. Private label?
  6. How are you addressing sustainability issues with your brand?

Terms and Conditions PITCHme 2022

  • Video entries are STAGE ONE of the PITCHme 2022 round. Please be clear and keep within the time constraint. Word documents can also be uploaded to support the video presentation.
  • Product images are to be supplied in 300dpi, high resolution, on a white background. Additional campaign images are welcome.
  • All entrants who successfully reach STAGE TWO must supply 8 samples of each product and deliver as per delivery instructions outlined in STAGE TWO entry pack.
  • Pricing - we recognise that pricing information is industry sensitive, and all entries are held in confidence. Only PITCHme panellists and the organising committee will be privy to the information. No information will be released to any other third party.
  • Entry information - if the entry is not successful in moving to STAGE TWO, the entry documents and video will be destroyed.
  • STAGE THREE - successful entries are invited to make a presentation to the panel in person. Information Pack on venue, timing and further information will be forwarded to those who are successful in moving through to STAGE THREE.
  • Ranging is not guaranteed and no purchase orders are to be expected or presumed after the presentation. The PANEL will provide their advice on go-to-market, sell-in, and sell-through strategies, and feedback on the products in relation to extending their use across other industry sectors outside of current markets.
