EMBRACING THE VEG

No5 Church Lane is set to debut its new menu showcasing the quality of local South Island produce. With a particular focus on all things vegetables, head chef Trent Watson wants to lead the charge in procuring a menu that stands out from the rest but does not compromise on quality.

The refreshed menu will take inspiration from Northern Italian and Mediterranean-style cuisine with a Kiwi twist.

Some of the featured dishes include Southern-fried banana blossoms, beetroot falafels and a hearty veggie medley served up Hāngi style. If those are tantalising enough, try the homemade olive pappardelle with its slow-roasted heritage tomatoes and creamy goat cheese, the perfect accompaniment to polenta beignets, with vegetable succotash and pecorino.

Not only will No5 Church Lane highlight New Zealand’s incredible produce, but it will also showcase some of New Zealand’s best wines from an expansive wine list.
