Burger King HQ has ordered one of its restaurants to stop mopping tables, after footage emerged of a cleaner doing just that.
The outlet, in Fruit Cove, Florida, has received a stern warning from the company's headquarters. A video surfaced last week of an employee using a mop meant for the floor to clean tables in the children's play area section of the restaurant.
Speaking to News4Jax, Burger King said: “The action depicted in the video is unacceptable and not in line with our brand standards or operational procedures. We have strict protocols around cleanliness and food safety. The restaurant owner will be re-training his team on all operational protocols.”
