The highly anticipated ‘Barbie’ movie is set to be one of the biggest box office successes of 2023, and to celebrate, a Barbie-themed restaurant has opened at Grill’d Galeries.
Following the launch of Grill’d’s Barbie-themed menu, the Dreamhouse Diner has transformed the Sydney-based restaurant from its contemporary style to a Malibu dreamhouse, complete with a ‘Dreamburgers’ sign over the door.
Partnerships Manager at Grill’d, Jessica Moodie, said that Dreamburgers is a portal to a Barbie-land itself, and it brings to life some of the key scenes featured in the film.
“Guests can go on an adventure through the beach, the disco party, Barbie's own Dreamhouse, and an adorable mini Dreamburgers Drivethru,” said Moodie.
The immersive interior has been redesigned to provide fans with a unique experience, with every corner of the restaurant prepared with Instagram-worthy photo opportunities.
Carefully selected props, pops of neon lighting, and custom pink cola behind the bar are just a few of the adjustments made in the redesign, which will last until the 14th of August, 2023.
The menu has also been adjusted to include the Barbie Dreamburger, consisting of a 100 percent natural juicy beef patty, lettuce, tomatoes, grilled pineapple, tasty cheese and onions slathered in fresh avocado, tomato sauce and specially crafted pink mayonnaise, all enclosed in a pink bun.
Exclusive to the Galeries location is the Barbie Beach Roll, made from poached Australian rock lobster, served with crispy nori, a selection of salad ingredients, and the signature pink bun. Custom packaging to represent a pink leather handbag has also been produced for the promotion.
