AUGUSTUS BISTRO DEBTS REVEALED

Auckland fine-dining establishment Augustus Bistro owes creditors over $660,000, according to the liquidator’s first report. The restaurant was put into liquidation last week, and will be closed until a new buyer can be found. Several purchase offers have been made already.

"During the course of the liquidation we expect to receive claims from creditors and we are currently dealing with secured claims at the moment," said Jared Booth, acting as liquidator along with Tony Maginness. "We don't know how much we're going to realise the assets.

The restaurant owes $61,312 to Westpac as well as $30,000 to employees. Unsecured creditors are owed $573,064.
