Winners of the Queenstown Hospitality Awards announced

Winners of the Queenstown Hospitality Awards were announced last night at an awards ceremony held at the Skyline. Tanoshi, a teppan and sake bar took out two of the highest accolades winning outstanding city centre bar and the people’s choice award for outstanding establishment. Bespoke Kitchen took out the award for the best local café and dining scene, while bar accolades went to The Sundeck.

The awards also recognised some of the city’s best chefs, baristas, and crewmembers, with best bartender and supreme crewmember awards going to William Prior from The Sundeck, top chef award going to John Pickens of Akarua Wines & Kitchen, and emerging chef award to Karan Dhillon of Slow Cuts.

On top of this, design and fit-outs were also rewarded to celebrate Queenstown’s vibrant food scene, with White and Wongs winning an award for their outstanding ambience and design.

The Restaurant Association of New Zealand organised and fostered the awards to reward and unite the Queenstown hospitality industry.
