QUEER-EYE STAR OPENING RESTAURANT

Queer-eye star opening restaurant

Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski is working towards opening a restaurant in New York City’s West Village. The restaurant will open under the former diner Village Den and will carry the same name. Healthy and nutritious eating is the central idea around his restaurant, and the theme is described as a modern update to enhance and add nutrition to classic comfort foods. Dishes including cabbage rolls stuffed with turkey and cauliflower rice along with twists on traditional home food such as macadamia-crusted fish sticks with maple parsnip mash will feature on the menu – inspired by Porowski’s Polish heritage. Working to prepare the perfect menu for the opening, Porowski and his business partners spent three weeks “locked in a kitchen”. The restaurant is reportedly set to open in September with Porowski to start writing his own cookbook in following.
