Following the success of PITCHMe Foodservice earlier this year, the retail sector now has the chance to take part in this unique opportunity. PITCHMe Foodstuffs North Island will open up lines of communication between small, large and artisanal producers, and buyers from Foodstuffs North Island.
Suppliers submit an entry for consideration to the PITCHMe panel. The finalists are chosen from these entries and they will have the opportunity to present in person in front of the Foodstuffs North Island panel.
The panel will be made up of Foodstuffs North Island buyers and decision makers. This combined buying power in one panel is fantastic for the New Zealand grocery industry, giving suppliers a special opportunity to get up close and personal with the Foodstuffs North Island team. Suppliers have never been given an opportunity such as this.
“It’s incredibly important to us that we provide products which excite our customers and meet their needs – even ones they haven’t yet thought of. We see PITCHMe as a great way to help creative New Zealand producers to take a leap of faith, get their house in order and inspire us with innovative, sustainable and inspiring new products,” said David Stewart, GM Merchandise FSNI. “We can’t wait to see and hear what’s on offer for our customers at New World, PAK’nSAVE and Four Square.”
The PITCHMe Foodstuffs North Island panel will provide suppliers with critical advice on a brand’s future development and will be a valuable network for ongoing advice.
“The PITCHMe forum where smaller suppliers can meet with such an important buying team is a bold, innovative initiative and speaks to the market about our commitment to New Zealand suppliers,” said Tania Walters, managing director of SupermarketNews. “It removes the more formal protocols and allows producers the opportunity to build relationships with buyers.”
Please note – you must be available and in Auckland for September 12 if you are chosen to present to the Foodstuffs North Island panel.
