WENDY’S LATEST FLAVOUR REINVENTION

International fast food chain Wendy’s is set to launch its newest Wendy’s Exotic Harissa range in New Zealand.

The burgers feature a Moroccan harissa sauce, a blend of North African spices and a French brioche bun. Each serving comes with two strips of bacon and a choice of beef or spicy chicken, which can be ordered as a double or single patty. Alongside the new range is the Harissa Loaded Fries which features the classic Wendy’s spuds with a drizzling of the quintessential harissa sauce.

It’s not the first time the brand has reinvented its flavours. In 2011, it remade its 42-year-old hamburger and launched the Dave's Hot 'N Juicy burger - named after the chain’s late founder Dave Thomas in the US. The brand has also been making substantial moves to accelerate this practice locally with the release of the Wendy’s Dragon Breathanator last June, which features NZ-owned Baxter’s Original hot sauce.
