McDonald’s workers have reached a US$26 million settlement over wage theft across corporate-owned stores in California.
The class action was initially filed in 2013 by a worker from Los Angeles, which detailed cases as early as 2009. It was said that McDonald’s would purposefully fill out forms incorrectly as to avoid paying workers overtime.
This comes just weeks after local Kiwi workers established a huge settlement was due over holiday pay issues, too.
