AUSTRALIA | The rooftop bar experience has been taken to a new level at Sol y Sombra, the latest pop-up culinary showcase in Perth.

Rooftop at QT Perth is turning up the heat this summer with Sol y Sombra, a fresh, desert-inspired pop-up bar taking over the 18th floor. 

Guests have been invited to escape their everyday environment and immerse themselves in a kaleidoscope of cactus-lined corners, glowing lanterns, and neon hues, creating an elevated oasis amongst the city skyline.

At the heart of Sol y Sombra is an exciting collaboration with Don Julio, whose premium tequila lends itself to a roster of handcrafted cocktails — including a Black Rock Paloma or Rose and Ruby Freeze where zesty citrus meets a bold, spicy twist for refreshing concoctions. For guests who would prefer a classic tipple, Balter Cerveza has stepped in as the perfect crisp counterpoint, capturing the carefree spirit of the season in every pour.

No rooftop experience is complete without culinary pairings and Sol y Sombra is no exception. New Mexican-inspired bites infuse the menu with bright flavours, each dish carefully curated to complement the rooftop’s easy-going energy, think kingfish ceviche, succulent al pastor pork tostada, and crisp, corn tostada bursting with freshness. By day, guests can unwind under golden rays; come nightfall, the lanterns glow, summer beats roll with a rotating roster of DJs every Friday and Saturday, and the horizon glitters with possibility.
