SELF-SERVICE PIZZA

Pizza Hut is testing a new tech-based service through which customers can pick up their order from a cubby site in Hollywood, California. The latest addition to Pizza Hut’s tech-centric expansions allows customers in a rush to skip queues and avoid unnecessary hassle a streamlined and efficient option.

The new service is in partnership with Brightloom, formerly Eatsa, and will sync with Pizza Hut’s app, website, in-store offerings, and phone orders. Pizza Hut has said that the new concept is not an attempt to eliminate in-store experiences—simply supplement it.

This new development springboards off some of Pizza Hut’s other tech-based developments, including their ‘Pizza Truck’ that baked pizza while en route to drop off, and their delivery bot tests with FedEx. Both of these other tech-solutions have been developed over the last year.
