Rockburn Stables Open Day

Rockburn Wines has opened its new tasting room, the Rockburn Stables at Gibbston Tavern, celebrated their new location with an opening day.

General manager Tim Severne reported the “opening day was fantastic.”

“A great number of guests were all very impressed to see the new venue.”

He also said the tour operators are very happy with the larger venue which can now accommodate their growing bookings.

After a few successful seasons, Rockburn has moved its tasting room from the Art Gallery into the Stables at the historic tavern, offering wine and food for more wine-lovers in a unique and rustic setting.

The new tasting room has paired an extensive new food menu with their current release wines. Guests can dine outside by a roaring fire or at the rustic indoor wine bar.

Whilst the move was not far, Rockburn Stables is “a new bigger and brighter venue, including indoor seating for 20 at our wine bar, as well as an outdoor courtyard with seating for around 30,” commented Severne.

The outdoor area “features a wood-burning fireplace front and centre to keep guests warm while they enjoy a glass of Rockburn with friends.”

Severne notes the benefits of the new venue.

“Now at the entrance to the Gibbston Tavern, we’re more visible. This will encourage more people to pop in and meet the team.

“With a large venue, we’re also able to accommodate more individuals/groups and not be restricted by space.”

“I’m very confident Rockburn will become e a must-visit destination for Gibbston,” he concluded.
