Wellington café, Loki Lounge, has engaged in a new concept that is taking off overseas. Owner Nadia Gorodiakova opened the establishment in December and has introduced the Russian concept Ziferblat, meaning ‘clock face’. One hour spent at the café costs five dollars and tea, coffee and snack flow freely. The idea provides a space where people do not feel pressured by the establishment to buy a coffee to stay longer, more of a co-social space than a café describes Gorodiakova.
