Killinchy Gold is releasing three new flavours: Blueberry & Lemon, Passionfruit & Lychee and English Toffee. Blueberry & Lemon has been in development for around six months, and was timed to coincide with the blueberry season. The idea for the Passionfruit & Lychee was derived from the popularity of South East Asian flavours in New Zealand cuisine, while English Toffee is a classic variation of the continued popularity of caramel and salted caramel flavours, but with a more indulgent creaminess.
The flavours are unique – there are no other lychee ice creams widely available in New Zealand, and the Blueberry & Lemon combination is also unique.
The new range will primarily service restaurants and cafés, and will also be served at boutique ice cream parlours.
