New Bean Variety at Zarraffa’s

Australian coffee chain Zarraffa's Coffee has unveiled a new limited edition single-origin bean, the Colombian Bolivar.

The new bean is said to have elements of citrus, cherry, honey, and a hint of dark chocolate in its flavour profile and was best enjoyed in espresso, piccolo, cappuccino, flat white or latte form.

According to Zarraffa's, the beans selected from Castillo and Catimore varietals in Colombia have been grown with care and respect before being naturally washed and sun-dried. This process has resulted in a high cupping score of 84, meaning it should satisfy a wide variety of coffee-drinking palettes.

“Our 10th Single Origin launch is a momentous occasion for our brand. It signifies a decade of dedicated exploration, introducing unique flavours, and a commitment to offering our customers an unparalleled specialty coffee experience,” said Zarraffa’s Coffee CEO, Marnie Sheldon.

“Zarraffa’s Single Origin beans are a must-try, they are more than just a standard coffee bean and flavour. They are premium sourced beans that are full-bodied and celebrate the journey of flavours from unique coffee growing regions all around the world.”

Zarraffa's Coffee has an existing Single Origin range, including Pearl Mountain and Tanzanian Kilimanjaro. All beans in the Single Origin range have been grown within a distinct location, typically one farm or country. It is, therefore, influenced by specific natural attributes such as landscape, climate, and altitude. Each bean has a bespoke flavour, which Zarraffa's Coffee said has ensured a premium coffee experience for its customers.
