The National Chef’s Conference is an exciting event that promotes and advocates the hospitality industry. For anyone wanting to get involved in foodservice, this event is not to be missed.
This year, the event is taking place in Palmerston North and will happen between the 7th and 9th of July. On the 8th of July, the event will feature an expo at the Manawatu UCOL Campus, where suppliers, both big and small, will be showcasing their products. Some of the suppliers attending include Nestle, Fonterra, Gilmours, Emoyeni Microgreens, Artisan Kitchen and Cartwheel Creamery.
Not only will food-lovers feel at home but all those who wish to learn more about the exciting opportunities in the hospitality sector. Damian Peeti, the Manawatu/Whanganui president of the central brand of Chefs Association, said, “This event is a great time for chefs across the country to come together to celebrate industry talent and keep up to date with current trends. We are grateful that UCOL has contributed their space for the expo part of the event.”
“This is a great way for the community to join in with the conference and for students to see how their learning can be developed into a career.”
On top of the various events taking place throughout the city, the conference will also feature a five-course degustation event called Dinner of Provenance, where local chefs will highlight the produce of the region. Tickets for this part of the event are on sale at the Manawatu Chamber of Commerce website.
