The Greedy Cow Cafe’s Head Barista, Jay Ee Woon, has been drinking coffee for as long as he can remember. Originally from Malaysia, Woon has been part of The Greedy Cow Cafe team since early 2022.
Woon saved up during high school to buy his first home espresso machine when he graduated. What started as a way to make his morning coffee, quickly turned into scouring Youtube to find latte art instruction videos and learning as much as he could about the art of making great coffee. When the opportunity to move to New Zealand arose, Woon started looking for opportunities to further upskill once he arrived and came across The Greedy Cow Cafe.
Surrounded by a team of baristas who are all passionate about latte art, Woon thrives in the busy environment of a bustling cafe and loves providing customers with a coffee to kick start their day.
Woon swears by the simple latte and believes a great coffee begins with a perfectly timed espresso extraction that is enhanced with the addition of hot, silky textured milk.
