Meet The Barista | Sally Choi, Sergeant Coffee Bar & Eatery

Driven by her passion for coffee, South Korea's Sally Choi moved to New Zealand five years ago and is currently the head barista at Auckland's new Sergeant Coffee Bar and Eatery.

Known for its Vietnamese Coffee, crafted with house-made single-origin cold brew and sweetened with condensed milk, Sergeant Coffee Bar and Eatery prides itself on providing the best customer service and perfectly prepared coffee you can experience.

It is a great place to catch up for coffee with colleagues or meet with clients over lunch as they offer exceptional corporate catering and use fresh, quality ingredients tailored to customer's needs.

"I often witnessed my parents drinking coffee every morning when I was young. This led to my curiosity about why my parents drank coffee daily, which evolved into a natural interest in coffee. This interest ultimately shaped me into the barista Sally I am today," said Choi, who finds the most fulfilment in seeing customers enjoy her coffee.

Choi opines that the perfect blend extraction brings out the flavour profiles of each origin, and people start their day on a positive note when they enjoy a perfectly extracted espresso and milk steamed to their preference, her preference being an iced long black.
